The Ardoino brand encapsulates world excellence. Made in Italy, a large selection of fine oils and delicious products that tell the story of the territory, and Ligurian and Italian tradition.

The rugged Ligurian terrain, often windswept, with steep hills overlooking the sea, has never stopped the proud inhabitants from cultivating olive trees since very ancient times. The Taggiasca olive arrived in the village of Taggia, from which it took its name, thanks to the monks of the order of San Colombano in Provence, France. The favourable climatic conditions of this place encouraged the spread of the cultivation of this precious variety of olive in the hinterland of western Liguria on terraces supported by dry stone walls. Soon the production of the precious Taggiasca olive oil became the hub of the local economy, and the merchant port of the city of Oneglia (currently under the name of lmperia), became one of the most important ports in the Mediterranean for the olive oil trade. Today lmperia represents a centre for Taggiasca extra virgin olive oil, guardian of a centuries-old culture linked to its olive groves and their precious fruits.

The history of the Ardoino brand has distant roots. In 1870, Giuseppe Ardoino began trading in olive oil, exporting the precious food to America and Ukraine by means of large sailing ships leaving from the merchant port of Oneglia. The passion and knowledge for this precious product was wisely handed down in the Ardoino family from father to son for several generations up to Nanni Ardoino, a great connoisseur of oil and master taster, who in the 70s decided to wrap his precious oils in a special gold aluminium foil. A winning idea, which not only embellishes the bottle, but also above all protects its delicate contents. In the early 1980s, Nanni Ardoino founded in lmperia the first olive oil tasting school (National Association of Olive Oil Tasters) with the commitment to enhance and protect the art of olive oil tasting, an important Ligurian historical and cultural heritage. Today the Ardoino brand is renowned and appreciated all over the world for the quality of its precious olive oils.

Today as then, the Ardoino brand continues to flourish thanks to the Isnardi family ownership, who carries on with great passion and know-how the tradition and the guiding principles that have contributed to the success of the brand that has become over time a synonym of quality. The lsnardi family boasts a centuries-old tradition and experience in the cultivation and production of extra virgin olive oil. The farming property which, covers over 150 hectares, is planted with olive groves on the first hills overlooking the sea of the stunning countryside of the Ligurian Riviera. The favourable climatic conditions facilitate the production of fine extra virgin olive oils with unique qualitative and nutritional characteristics.
